FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Fine Arts Studio

Q11: How many limited edition prints will the artist release?

A11: The aim of the artist is to place the premium on quality, while at the same time offering art collectors and art lovers as wide a range of options as possible in terms of size, medium, and price. To strike the proper balance between these competing goals, the artist has limited the number of editions in each available size category to no more than 200 prints on paper and no more than 200 prints on canvas. The artist will also print a very limited number of prints on sheet metal (between 5 and 10 prints of each title will be printed on this medium)

Since the artist anticipates printing the collection in 2 size categories (standard, & large) and on two print media (watercolor paper & canvas) the total number of prints made of any title is:

STANDARD --> 200 (on paper) + 200 (on canvas) = 400
LARGE --> 200 (on paper) + 200 (on canvas) = 400

TOTAL: 1200 + (up to 10 prints of each title on sheet metal)

This means that upon purchasing a limited edition giclée print on paper or canvas you will be one of 800 collectors on the planet to own a giclée print of a particular title listed in the catalog, and only one of 200 collectors worldwide to own a limited edition giclée print of a title at a given size and on paper or canvas. Of course, the artist retains the right to print the vanitas collection on postcards, calendars, book covers, t-shirts, or use the images for commercials, marketing, advertising and on other promotional material, but these copies will not be signed, will not be numbered, and will not be issued with the Certificate of Authenticity that makes each giclée print distinct.
